Lakeside is working dirt country. The properties run to acreage, the trucks and trailers are already in the driveway and the projects are the rural classics: building pads for shops and barns, driveway cuts and gravel, septic excavations, arena grading and the drainage work that keeps a winter creek out of a tack room. What does a building pad for a shop or barn cost out here?
Most Lakeside pads run $3,000 to $12,000 on the published table, with the flats at the low end and benched hillside pads at the top. Compaction to your builder’s spec is part of the job, not an extra discovered later.
Can you regrade our arena so it stops holding water?
Yes, arena work is regular here. Proper fall, a consistent base and footing that drains are grading problems we solve with a laser and the right passes. Most arena regrades price by the hour off the $150 to $300 machine rate and finish in a day or two.
Do you dig septic systems and the trenches for them?
We do the excavation side: tank holes, leach field trenches and the backfill, working to your septic contractor’s design and the county’s inspection schedule. Perc conditions in the granite soils decide the dig difficulty, and we quote after seeing the design.
